FAQ

Q: Do you have 5 or 6-year-old ginseng?

A: No, we don't. Due to the heavier and nutrient-rich soil type found in most Marathon county area, where our farm is located, 6-year-old ginseng has never been a success and it only a handful of farmers have seen some success growing 5-year-old ginseng on a smaller scale in sandy soil (the same type of soil found in Ontario, Canada). But we have plenty of success growing healthy 4 years old ginseng roots and that's what we offer on our online store.

In addition, according to laboratory researches, the total ginsenoside content of cultivated ginseng increases from about 3% in year 1 to about 8% in the fourth. It’s very rare to be able to find cultivated ginseng that has more than 8% of ginsenoside content; meaning that cultivated ginseng reaches its full maturity in 4 years.

The increase of ginsenoside content in 5-year-old roots is not only largely insignificant but also comes with a high risk of total loss of crops due to disease.

Q: Why do you call all your ginseng "Premium"?

A: This is because our ginseng roots are completely disease free and come from only the healthiest plants. If you find a bad root in any of our products, we will refund you with no question asked-- guaranteed.

Q: How much ginseng should I take?

A: Everybody is different and has different needs. Because of this, we, unfortunately, cannot give you a recommendation. Please talk to your doctor or physician.

Q: Do you offer Woods Grown ginseng?

A: In our opinion, most sellers on the market are misleading consumers by using the term "woods grown" to sell field cultivated ginseng with a hefty price tag. Normally people will grow ginseng in forests solely for the purpose of imitating wild ginseng! We stand by our current range of products and see no real reason to price gauge our customers simply because the crops are grown in a different environment. In short, our answer to this question is NO!

Q: Do you have Ginseng Extract?

A: Ginseng extract is usually made up of a mix of ginseng root, alcohol and distilled water. We believe that the best way to consume ginseng is the natural way without all of the additives so we do not offer ginseng extract, instead of using something diluted and processed, we suggest putting slices in water as a natural alternative.

Q: Do you have Ginseng Tea?

A: We currently don't offer tea, most of our customers enjoy putting slices in hot water with some honey or maple syrup as a more affordable and less processed alternative.

Q: I have a special request, can you help?

A: From hotel deliveries to discounts for larger orders-- we've done it all!

We will do everything we can to meet whatever request you may have.

Simply contact us at info@cwiginseng.com and we will try our best to accommodate!
