What to Do If Your Package Says “Delivered” but You Can’t Find It

Steps to Follow 

1. Check Around Your Home

• Take a look around your property. Sometimes packages are left in unusual spots, like near the garage, in a mailbox, or around your house.
• If you’re in an apartment or shared building, check with the front desk, mailroom, or your neighbors to see if someone received it on your behalf.

2. Confirm Delivery Details

• Double-check that the delivery address you entered at checkout is correct.
• Look for a delivery notification from USPS, UPS, or your carrier—they may include helpful notes or even a photo of where the package was left.

3. Contact Your Local Post Office

• Reach out to your local USPS or UPS branch directly. They can provide details about the delivery, like the exact location where it was dropped off or who delivered it.
• Local offices are often faster to resolve these issues than their national customer service lines.

4. Ask Your Neighbors

• Packages are sometimes delivered to a nearby address by mistake. A quick chat with your neighbors might solve the mystery!

5. File a Missing Package Claim (If Needed)

• If the package still isn’t found, you can file a claim with the carrier. For USPS, you can start a missing mail search on the USPS website, or UPS by using their Start a Claim.
